Ministry of Environment, Cambodia

Zalo Energy has officially entered into a strategic collaboration with Cambodia’s Ministry of Environment, holding high-level discussions and signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to advance a large-scale pyrolysis facility project. This partnership aims not only to address Cambodia’s escalating waste management challenges but also to strengthen the nation’s energy independence through sustainable energy solutions.

The facility will be established within the Ministry’s newly designated 144-hectare waste treatment complex, where Zalo Energy has secured a dedicated 2-hectare plot. The project will involve the construction of a waste sorting plant and a cutting-edge pyrolysis processing facility, which will transform municipal waste into high-value renewable energy products—including diesel, gasoline, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), carbon black, and syngas—to supply Cambodia’s growing energy market.

Zalo Energy’s proprietary low-temperature pyrolysis technology guarantees a zero-air-pollution process that meets international environmental standards. The system also enables the production of premium-grade fuels with octane levels exceeding 80, combining operational efficiency with ecological responsibility. This innovative approach embodies circular economy principles by maximizing resource recovery and minimizing environmental impact.

This collaboration delivers a wide range of strategic benefits—from significantly reducing waste pollution and expanding the renewable fuel sector, to generating carbon credit opportunities that offer long-term economic gains. By integrating waste management, energy production, and commercial application into a complete value chain, Zalo Energy continues to lead with innovation, delivering impactful solutions for global sustainability and environmental progress.
